Recycling Center

The Perch Lake Township Recycling Center (Shed) is for Carlton County residential use only. No business recyclables are accepted. It is located next to our Town Hall and open and available Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 2 PM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM.

We accept the following items:

• PLASTICS: bottles, jars, jugs, and tubs. Please rinse and remove caps, and flatten if possible.

• ALUMINUM CANS. Please rinse and flatten.

• TIN AND METAL CANS: Rinse and flatten if possible

• GLASS JARS AND BOTTLES: Rinse, remove caps and rings. Separate clear, brown, and green glass. NO light bulbs, mirrors, ceramic or broken glass.

• MAGAZINES: Empty into correct bins. No books.

• OFFICE PAPER AND NEWSPAPER: empty into correct bins. Newspaper, office, computer, colored paper; envelopes, junk mail, and glossy inserts. NO carbon paper, gift wrap, tissue paper, plastic wrapping, bound books or spiral notebooks.

• SHREDDED PAPER: MUST BE BAGGED. Place in office paper/newspaper bin.

• CARDBOARD & BOXBOARD: MUST BE FLATTENED AND CLEAN. Corrugated Cardboard; Boxboard (cereal, pasta, cracker boxes, etc.) Brown paper bags and egg cartons. NO pizza boxes, wax boses, foil, plastic laminated boxes, or milk cartons.
